Server-side tracking for WooCommerce that reports the sale, not the page view.
A WordPress plugin sends every paid order, cancellation and refund straight from your server to Meta CAPI, TikTok, Google Ads and GA4 — and because your checkout runs on your own domain, it captures the ad click IDs first-hand.
Why server-side
On WooCommerce the purchase tag fires on the order-received page, in the browser. Ad blockers stop it, Safari's tracking prevention degrades it, a slow page or an immediate tab close means it never runs at all — and the sale disappears from your ad reporting even though the money arrived.
Bank transfer and cash on delivery make it worse: those orders are confirmed hours or days later in wp-admin, long after any browser tag could fire. In markets where they're the majority of orders, a browser-only setup is reporting a fraction of real revenue.
The AdsPing plugin reports from WooCommerce's own order hooks instead. When the gateway confirms payment — or when you mark a bank transfer as processing — the order goes server-to-server with hashed customer data, the click IDs captured at checkout, and a shared event ID so nothing is double counted.
How it works
- 01
Install the plugin
Install and activate it in WordPress. It declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage and works with both the classic and block-based checkout.
- 02
Connect from WooCommerce → AdsPing
One click sends you to AdsPing to approve the store and choose which pixel receives its orders. Credentials go straight to your site — there's no key to copy or paste.
- 03
Click IDs captured at checkout
Because checkout runs on your domain, the plugin reads _fbp, _fbc, ttclid, gclid and msclkid at order creation and stores them on the order — the signals that decide whether the platform can match the sale to the click.
- 04
Orders, refunds and cancellations flow
Paid orders forward immediately; refunds forward as adjustments so platforms optimize on net revenue. A daily sync re-sends anything a site outage swallowed.
What you get
First-party click IDs
Your checkout is on your own domain, so the click identifiers are readable server-side. This is the structural advantage WooCommerce has over hosted checkouts — and it shows up as higher Event Match Quality.
Bank transfer and cash on delivery
You choose which order statuses count as a sale. Orders confirmed days later in wp-admin still reach your ad platforms.
Refund forwarding
Full and partial refunds forward as adjustments, so Meta and Google optimize on what you actually kept.
Nothing lost to an outage
Failed sends retry with backoff, and a daily reconciliation compares your recent orders against what we received and re-sends the gaps.
Staging-safe
The plugin binds itself to the domain it was connected on. Copy the site to staging and tracking pauses there automatically — test orders never reach your live reporting.
HPOS and block checkout ready
Built for WooCommerce's current order storage and the block-based checkout, not only the classic one.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I still need a tracking script on my site?
- The plugin loads it for you once connected. It handles product views and add-to-cart; purchases come from your server, which is the part browser tags lose.
- Will purchases be double counted?
- No. The server event and the browser event carry the same event ID, so the ad platforms collapse them into one conversion.
- Does it work with cash on delivery and bank transfer?
- Yes — that's a setting. By default an order counts when it reaches Processing or Completed, so orders confirmed manually days later are still reported.
- What happens if my site goes down for a day?
- Failed sends retry on a backoff ladder, and a daily sync compares your recent orders against what AdsPing received and re-sends anything missing.
- How is it billed?
- Through AdsPing, tiered by monthly order volume — the same per-order pricing as our Shopify plans, with a 14-day free trial. The plugin itself is free.
