Google Ads · Custom website

Install Google Ads on a custom website — step by step.

A hand-held guide for hand-coded sites, static sites (Astro, Hugo, Jekyll), and any template-based setup where you can edit the page <head>. No developer required. Around 15 minutes start to finish.

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • An AdsPing account — free, no credit card.
  • Access to edit your site’s HTML (or template files).
  • An active Google Ads account with at least one conversion action created (Tools → Conversions). If not yet, create one first — we cover it in Step 4.
  • The Google account you use must have Admin or Standard access on that Google Ads account.
